Connect Mailchimp
Campaigns and audiences from your Mailchimp account, analysis-ready.
What data it brings
- campaigns: Campaigns: type, status, send date, emails sent, and the opens and clicks summary.
- lists: Audiences: name, created date, subscriber counts and average rates.
A question you can ask
“What is the average open_rate by type?”
Ask it in your own words. You get the answer, with the steps that made it.
How to connect it
You connect with a key you create in your Mailchimp account. It takes a few minutes.
- In your MCP Analytics account, open Connectors and choose Mailchimp. The setup form opens there.
- In Mailchimp open your profile menu, then Account and billing, then Extras, then API keys, and choose Create A Key.
- Name it, then copy the key. It ends with a dash and the data centre, for example -us19.
- Paste the key into the setup form, and type the data centre (us19 in that example) in the setup form.

We test the connection before we save it, so you know right away if a step was missed.
What we keep, and how to disconnect
We keep the key or login you give us, encrypted, and use it only to read the data you ask about. Other accounts cannot see your connections. To stop, open Connectors in your account and choose Remove on the Mailchimp row; that deletes the saved key. You can also cancel the key in Mailchimp itself.
Questions
Will this change anything in my Mailchimp account?
No. We only read. Nothing in Mailchimp is changed.
Can I use a file instead?
Yes. Export a CSV from Mailchimp and upload it. Connecting just saves you the export each time.
Can I combine Mailchimp with my other data?
Yes. Connect each source, then ask a question that names both.
