Close analytics from your own data

Opportunities and leads from your Close CRM, analysis-ready.

What you can learn from your Close data

Once Close is connected, these are the questions your data can answer. Each one has a free tool that shows the method on a sample first.

Funnel

Where people drop off between steps.

Fits your opportunities and leads.

Forecasting

What the next weeks or months may look like.

Fits your opportunities and leads.

Pareto (80/20)

The few items or customers that bring most of the results.

Fits your opportunities.

Attribution

Which channel earns credit for a sale or sign-up.

Fits your leads.

What data it brings

  • opportunities: Opportunities updated in the last 365 days: pipeline, status and its type (active, won, lost), value and expected value in cents, value period, currency, confidence, created, updated, won and lost dates, and stalled flag (no names, notes or contacts).
  • leads: Leads: status, created and updated dates (no names, emails, phones or addresses).

A question you can ask

“What is the total expected_value by status_type?”

Ask it in your own words. You get the answer, with the steps that made it.

How to connect it

You connect with a key you create in your Close account. It takes a few minutes.

  1. In your MCP Analytics account, open Connectors and choose Close. The setup form opens there.
  2. In Close, open Settings, then Developer, then API Keys.
  3. Choose Generate a New API Key, name it, and copy it. It is shown once.
  4. Paste the key into the setup form. The connection only reads data.

We test the connection before we save it, so you know right away if a step was missed.

What we keep, and how to disconnect

We keep the key or login you give us, encrypted, and use it only to read the data you ask about. Other accounts cannot see your connections. To stop, open Connectors in your account and choose Remove on the Close row; that deletes the saved key. You can also cancel the key in Close itself.

Questions

What can I learn from my Close data?

You can see where people drop off between steps, what the next weeks or months may look like, and the few items or customers that bring most of the results. Each one has a free tool that shows the method on a sample.

Will this change anything in my Close account?

No. We only read. Nothing in Close is changed.

Can I use a file instead?

Yes. Export a CSV from Close and upload it. Connecting just saves you the export each time.

Can I combine Close with my other data?

Yes. Connect each source, then ask a question that names both.
