Trello analytics from your own data

Open cards of one Trello board, analysis-ready.

What you can learn from your Trello data

Once Trello is connected, these are the questions your data can answer. Each one has a free tool that shows the method on a sample first.

Anomaly detection

Days or numbers that look out of the ordinary.

Fits your cards.

Pareto (80/20)

The few items or customers that bring most of the results.

Fits your cards.

Data profile

What is in the data, and what is missing.

Fits your cards.

What data it brings

  • cards: Open cards on the board: card id, board id, list id, last activity date and due date (the day only), and label count and member count (no names or descriptions).

A question you can ask

“How many open cards are in each list?”

Ask it in your own words. You get the answer, with the steps that made it.

How to connect it

You connect with a key you create in your Trello account. It takes a few minutes.

  1. In your MCP Analytics account, open Connectors and choose Trello. The setup form opens there.
  2. Create a Trello Power-Up for your workspace to get an API key, then authorize it to get a read-only token.
  3. Paste the API key, the token and your board id into the setup form.

We test the connection before we save it, so you know right away if a step was missed.

What we keep, and how to disconnect

We keep the key or login you give us, encrypted, and use it only to read the data you ask about. Other accounts cannot see your connections. To stop, open Connectors in your account and choose Remove on the Trello row; that deletes the saved key. You can also cancel the key in Trello itself.

Questions

What can I learn from my Trello data?

You can see days or numbers that look out of the ordinary, the few items or customers that bring most of the results, and what is in the data, and what is missing. Each one has a free tool that shows the method on a sample.

Will this change anything in my Trello account?

No. We only read. Nothing in Trello is changed.

Can I use a file instead?

Yes. Export a CSV from Trello and upload it. Connecting just saves you the export each time.

Can I combine Trello with my other data?

Yes. Connect each source, then ask a question that names both.
