Connect Shopify
Orders, products, and customers from your Shopify store, analysis-ready.
What data it brings
- orders: One row per order: date, totals, discounts, financial and fulfilment status, item count.
- order items: One row per order line item: order, product, sku, title, quantity, price (plus the order's date, status and customer, so a basket can be filtered).
- products: One row per product: title, type, vendor, variant count, and price range.
- customers: One row per customer: created date, orders count, total spent, and location.
How to connect it
You connect with a key you create in your Shopify account. It takes a few minutes.
- In your MCP Analytics account, open Connectors and choose Shopify. The setup form opens there.
- If you already have a custom app's Admin API token (it starts with shpat_), paste it into the setup form.
- Otherwise you do not need this connection: export your orders from Shopify (Orders, then Export, as CSV) and add the file on the Datasets page. We answer questions on it directly.
We test the connection before we save it, so you know right away if a step was missed.
What we keep, and how to disconnect
We keep the key or login you give us, encrypted, and use it only to read the data you ask about. Other accounts cannot see your connections. To stop, open Connectors in your account and choose Remove on the Shopify row; that deletes the saved key. You can also cancel the key in Shopify itself.
Questions
Will this change anything in my Shopify account?
No. We only read. Nothing in Shopify is changed.
Can I use a file instead?
Yes. Export a CSV from Shopify and upload it. Connecting just saves you the export each time.
Can I combine Shopify with my other data?
Yes. Connect each source, then ask a question that names both.
