Connect BigCommerce

Orders, products, and customers from your BigCommerce store, analysis-ready.

What data it brings

  • orders: Orders: date, status, currency, totals, payment method, customer id and billing country (no names, emails or addresses).
  • products: Products: name, type, sku, price, stock, units sold, visibility and created date.
  • customers: Customers: created date and customer group (no names, emails or addresses).

A question you can ask

“What is the total of total_sold by type?”

Ask it in your own words. You get the answer, with the steps that made it.

How to connect it

You connect with a key you create in your BigCommerce account. It takes a few minutes.

  1. In your MCP Analytics account, open Connectors and choose BigCommerce. The setup form opens there.
  2. In your BigCommerce control panel open Settings, then API accounts, and choose Create API account, Create V2/V3 API token.
  3. Name it, and set OAuth scopes to read-only for Orders, Products and Customers. Leave everything else at None.
  4. Save. Copy the Access token and the API path (it contains your store hash). They are shown once.
  5. Paste the access token into the setup form, and type the store hash from the API path in the setup form.

We test the connection before we save it, so you know right away if a step was missed.

What we keep, and how to disconnect

We keep the key or login you give us, encrypted, and use it only to read the data you ask about. Other accounts cannot see your connections. To stop, open Connectors in your account and choose Remove on the BigCommerce row; that deletes the saved key. You can also cancel the key in BigCommerce itself.

Questions

Will this change anything in my BigCommerce account?

No. We only read. Nothing in BigCommerce is changed.

Can I use a file instead?

Yes. Export a CSV from BigCommerce and upload it. Connecting just saves you the export each time.

Can I combine BigCommerce with my other data?

Yes. Connect each source, then ask a question that names both.
