Subscriptions and invoices from your Recurly site, analysis-ready.

What you can learn from your Recurly data

Once Recurly is connected, these are the questions your data can answer. Each one has a free tool that shows the method on a sample first.

Customer lifetime value

Fits your subscriptions and invoices.

Forecasting

What the next weeks or months may look like.

Fits your subscriptions and invoices.

Churn drivers

Who is likely to leave, and what they have in common.

Fits your subscriptions.

Cohort retention

Whether people who joined in the same month come back.

Fits your subscriptions.

Anomaly detection

Days or numbers that look out of the ordinary.

Fits your invoices.

What data it brings

  • subscriptions: Subscriptions updated in the last 365 days: state, plan code, currency, unit amount, quantity, total, tax, collection method, auto-renew flag, and period, created, activated, canceled, paused and expiry dates (no names or emails).
  • invoices: Invoices updated in the last 365 days: type, state, origin, currency, subtotal, tax, total, paid, balance, refundable amount, net terms, and created, updated, due and closed dates (no names, emails or line items).

A question you can ask

“What is the total subscription value by state?”

Ask it in your own words. You get the answer, with the steps that made it.

How to connect it

You connect with a key you create in your Recurly account. It takes a few minutes.

  1. In your MCP Analytics account, open Connectors and choose Recurly. The setup form opens there.
  2. In Recurly, open Integrations, then API Credentials, and create a private API key.
  3. Copy the key. Choose the region your site is in (US or EU).
  4. Paste the key and the region into the setup form. The connection only reads data.

We test the connection before we save it, so you know right away if a step was missed.

What we keep, and how to disconnect

We keep the key or login you give us, encrypted, and use it only to read the data you ask about. Other accounts cannot see your connections. To stop, open Connectors in your account and choose Remove on the Recurly row; that deletes the saved key. You can also cancel the key in Recurly itself.

Questions

What can I learn from my Recurly data?

You can see how much a customer is worth over time, what the next weeks or months may look like, and who is likely to leave, and what they have in common. Each one has a free tool that shows the method on a sample.

Will this change anything in my Recurly account?

No. We only read. Nothing in Recurly is changed.

Can I use a file instead?

Yes. Export a CSV from Recurly and upload it. Connecting just saves you the export each time.

Can I combine Recurly with my other data?

Yes. Connect each source, then ask a question that names both.
